Wondered what people did without an iphone

Tagged Under : , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Ever wonder what did people do on the train when there wasnt a thing called the iphone?

Well looking around, I get people sleeping, people playing with their fingers, people staring into a blank space (deep in thought), people listening to their iPods or mp3 players, people playing the psp(popular gadget on the train), people reading newspaper, people chatting on the phone, couples hugging, kids sitting on the train floor, people using their laptops, all doing their own things.

Wonder what will happen if someone goes up and chats with a total stranger In the train, would they take the fellow as crazy, be on their guard or embrace his friendliness?

Ok Im bored and to fill my time on the train where there isn’t any 3g, I decided to write this. Now that I have 3g it’s back to my regular iPhone activities.

But if u do have a take on the above please feel free to drop a comment

Midnight supper food in Singapore. Scissors Curry Rice at the corner of Jalan Besar Rd and Kitchener Rd – 229 Jalan Besar, Singapore 208905.

Word of advice, if you are driving there the lots at the side have been removed. So you have to either park at the new shopping mall and walk or pray hard that there is lots on the other side.

Newspaper Websites Capture Eyeballs in Q3

Tagged Under : , , , , , , , , , , ,

Did you know that the newspaper websites captured about 38% of all internet users in Q3, thats 74 million visitors, according to a custom analysis by Nielsen. Not a bad transition from print to digital eh. No wonder Rupert Murdoch is pushing for the subscription model across his newspaper empire.

The general perception is no one will pay for content that is can be found Free, at least that’s what a friend of mine told me. But I guess if the publication gives me good content that I cherish and can apply to my daily life, why not pay for it if its reasonable. The only downside to this is that if you cant afford to pay, then you will be deprive of that vital information which is something that is against one of the core value of the internet which is to share information.

Whats your take would you pay for content?

How I wish for a Surrogate

Tagged Under : , , , , , , , , , , ,

Bruce willis new show Surrogates talks about humans virtually controlling a robotic self. This sci fi seems pretty cool as you would be able to control your robotic self on your day to day tasks. Simply put it making humans LAZY.

If I were to have a surrogate, I would rather find a way for him to run a script that does several tasks routinely while I get to do my stuff instead of controlling him. For starters, house work, changing baby nappies, marketing would all be his job. Simple office work like data entry that I have on my sites would also be outsourced to him for free :)

Having a surrogate is so much fun, while he works you are at the beach relaying. Nice eh!
